Charles River Development, a State Street Company, is offering an opportunity for a senior database administrator to join its Database Operations team supporting hybrid on-premise and cloud database environments.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the availability and optimization of the MSSQL and Azure SQL databases both on-premises and in the cloud
Follow technical standards and operational procedures to meet performance, availability, scalability, and security requirements
Assist in resolving priority incidents, participate in root-cause analysis, and support corrective actions
Collaborate with Operations and other teams to optimize database performance and reliability
Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, and Kusto
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
9+ years of experience working with large MS SQL Server databases in production environments
5+ years of MS SQL Server production database administration experience
2+ years of expert-level performance tuning experience
1+ year of hands-on experience operating MS SQL servers in Azure
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications for Azure or MS SQL Server such as DP-300 or AZ-900
Understanding of ITIL concepts
