You will lead financial control and reporting for markets and entities across Asia Pacific from India at GSK, partnering with regional stakeholders to deliver accurate and controlled financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end financial control and month-end close for assigned markets and entities in APAC, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage relationships with shared service centres, vendors and market teams to resolve issues and improve service outcomes.
Monitor service performance using agreed metrics and drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls; support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Lead, coach and develop a team of finance professionals, setting clear expectations and supporting career growth.
Coordinate system changes, process transitions or finance transformation activities to ensure smooth implementation and business readiness.
Requirements
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, IT or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in finance operations, financial controlling, shared services or service delivery.
Practical experience with month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
Strong awareness of internal controls and experience supporting audits.
Experience managing vendors, shared service partners or outsourced providers.
Practical experience with ERP systems such as SAP and strong Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA or CIMA.
Experience leading finance service delivery in a multinational or matrix organisation.
Hands-on experience with process automation, robotic process automation or analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI.
Background in finance transformation, ERP implementations or large-scale change programmes.
Familiarity with audit readiness and internal control frameworks.
Proven experience coaching and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
