The Full Stack Engineer with a strong foundation in enterprise application development, low-latency services, and cloud-native engineering builds resilient, scalable, and secure features across State Street’s platform ecosystem. As a Senior Associate, you will work closely with senior engineers, architects, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain application features across the full stack, including backend services in Python or Java and frontend components using React or Angular.
Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable enterprise applications.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, service endpoints, and backend business logic.
Build responsive, reusable, and user-friendly frontend components aligned with UX standards.
Support development and deployment of services on cloud-native infrastructure including AWS and Azure.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated build processes, and test automation.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve defects across frontend, backend, integration, and deployment layers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
0 to 7 years of experience in software engineering or full-stack application development.
Working knowledge of Python or Java for backend development.
Experience with at least one modern frontend framework such as React or Angular.
Understanding of REST API design, web services, and integration patterns.
Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
Exposure to cloud-native development on AWS or Azure.
Experience with Docker and basic familiarity with Kubernetes.
