Stryker is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to prepare and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications, models, and schematics using CAD software. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate industrial design intent into manufacturable product solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications, models, and schematics using CAD software, preferably Creo Parametric.
Create, modify, and control complex 2D and 3D part, assembly, and manufacturing drawings from engineering concepts.
Generate manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and installation drawings in compliance with ASME Y14.5, ISO, and company standards.
Collaborate closely with Industrial Design, Human Factors, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality stakeholders.
Lead and drive Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
Perform engineering assessments to resolve design deficiencies, regulatory compliance gaps, and obsolescence issues.
Apply GD&T principles, dimensional tolerances, fit analyses, and tolerance allocation methodologies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or masters in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design and CAD modeling.
Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards and mechanical design principles.
Experience designing plastic and metal components and proficient in CAD tools: Creo Parametric, SolidWorks.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PLM/PDM systems such as Windchill and Teamcenter.
Knowledge of product lifecycle management and configuration control.
