Barclays is looking for a Lead Engineer in Applied AI to design, develop and improve software that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and devise solution strategies.
Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Requirements
ServiceNow experience of the platform and ability to understand the core CSDM model, platform upgrades the security model and how integrations work via APIs.
Certified CSA and CAD admin and developer to be able to lead and build functionality as a sole lead without supervision.
Understand all programming languages and data models to a very good level and be able to follow best practices in an enterprise setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of CSM module in FSO context
Experience of working in enterprise regulated industry
Good experience with AI models and ability to work with tools like GitLab Duo and Claude Code
