Toast is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Fintech Payments team and evolve a platform processing over $150B in annual GPV. You will contribute to building customer-facing FinTech products and foundational capabilities to scale efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, deploy, and maintain highly resilient and scalable features across enterprise management products.
Lead complex projects that improve functionality and reliability for customers.
Partner with a wide array of teams and collaborate with UX and PM on feature definitions.
Ensure quality by building automated testing and monitoring rollouts for success.
Mentor and coach other engineers.
Requirements
5+ years experience building backend services and APIs.
Extensive experience working with an Object Oriented Language like Java or Kotlin.
Deep understanding of testing, quality, and best practices.
Experience shipping production services and balancing platform stability and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Experience scaling distributed systems and building Android applications with Kotlin.
