The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team at Citi.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, applications development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs.
Monitor and control all phases of development process including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems and make evaluative judgments.
Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality.
Consult with users and technology groups on issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts and act as SME to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
5-8 years of hands-on experience in frontend web development with deep proficiency in React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Strong understanding of frontend architecture, build tooling such as Vite or Webpack, and REST/GraphQL API integration.
Demonstrated experience in writing clean, well-tested code and applying frontend security best practices.
Write robust automated tests including Unit, Integration, and E2E tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright or Cypress.
Optimize web applications for maximum speed, accessibility, and cross-browser responsiveness.
