Mastercard is seeking a Manager Software Engineer for Economics and Intelligence within the Business and Market Intelligence group to own end-to-end delivery of engineering projects. You will combine Mastercard datasets with proprietary analytics techniques to help businesses worldwide solve multi-million-dollar business problems.
Key Responsibilities
Set clear goals, coach, mentor, and develop team members while conducting performance reviews
Foster collaboration, inclusion, engagement, and psychological safety
Manage workload distribution, recruitment, and team well-being
Provide technical guidance, define technical strategy, and oversee architecture and system design decisions
Review and improve code, designs, and deliverables while ensuring quality standards and security best practices
Manage technical debt, stay updated on new tools and frameworks, and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience
Solid foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, web applications, and microservices
Experience with React.js development and .NET framework
Experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, and Lambda
Database experience with SQL, Oracle, and Hadoop ecosystem
Experience with Apache Spark for distributed data processing and AWS Databricks
Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
