System Operations Manager - Middleware & Messaging Operations

Wells Fargo is seeking a System Operations Manager for its Middleware & Messaging Operations team to manage a Systems Operations team of analysts monitoring installed systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a Systems Operations team of analysts that monitor installed systems and infrastructure

• Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the Systems Operations functional area

• Identify and recommend opportunities within Systems Operations to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention time on technical tasks

• Make decisions and resolve issues regarding operating systems, application software, and system management tools to meet business objectives

• Interpret and develop policies and procedures, and understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area

• Collaborate and consult with analysts, Information Technology personnel, or vendors

• Manage mid to highly experienced analysts and manage allocation of people and financial resources

Requirements

• 5+ years of Systems Engineering, and Technology Architecture experience

• 2+ years of Leadership experience

• Hands on working and demonstrable technical experience in MQ, Solace or Kafka technologies

• Experience managing enterprise messaging technologies, including IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, Solace PubSub and IBM ACE

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field

• Advanced degree (MBA or Master's degree)
