The Applications Development Analyst position is responsible for participating in the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of application systems and microservices in coordination with the engineering team at Citi.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the design, development, unit testing, and maintenance of Python-based microservices and RESTful APIs using FastAPI or Flask.
Implement and maintain robust data persistence layers utilizing NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Couchbase.
Containerize services using Docker and assist in managing and deploying workloads onto Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters.
Work with automated CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools for automated building, testing, and continuous deployment.
Build and integrate frontend interfaces with Angular and connect LLM and Generative AI capabilities into backend workflows.
Actively engage in daily standups, sprint planning, and code reviews within an Agile team.
Requirements
Strong foundation in Python, data structures, OOP concepts, and asynchronous programming.
Practical experience in designing decoupled microservices and RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience working with document and NoSQL stores such as MongoDB and Couchbase.
Hands-on experience building Docker containers and running services in Kubernetes.
Good working knowledge of Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge or hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS.
Understanding of Generative AI principles, prompt engineering, and LLM APIs.
