AWS Platform Operations Officer

State Street is looking for an AWS focused agile and DevOps SRE engineer to support cloud native platform operations. You will devise solutions to reduce MTTR, increase uptime, and maintain operations as code practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incident, change, and problem management using ITSM

• Devise solutions and methodologies to reduce MTTRs and increase uptime

• Drive continuous monitoring and observability refinements and enhancements

• Design and maintain patch management solutions

• Execute release management functions to pre-prod and production environments

• Participate in regular DR activities along with applications

• Standardize and maintain metrics and reporting while constantly seeking cost optimization opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline

• 9+ years of IT experience in a hands-on role with 3 to 5 years designing and supporting AWS environments

• Strong programming and scripting background in languages such as shell scripts, python, or Java

• Experience in designing, coding, and deploying Terraform templates with Harness

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Agile and DevOps principles

• Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions

• Automated testing tools experience

• Knowledge of ServiceNow, Splunk, and Grafana
