As a Lead/Design Engineer for Hydro Auxiliary Systems at GE Vernova, you will take full technical ownership of auxiliary design and engineering for large-scale hydro projects. You will lead process design, execute complex sizing calculations, and define technical specifications for critical auxiliary systems while acting as the technical authority during the equipment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Understand and define scope plans aligned with project contract specifications using technical guidelines and design reviews
Make contract analysis, project planning, and conceptual design & layout in projects
Develop Concept of Gen. Aux. System based on contract requirements
Perform Basic Design, calculations, create P&ID and procurement specifications for Generator Auxiliary Systems
Organize design review meetings at BD and DD stage
Responsible for timely release of engineering documents for assembly, manufacturing, and material lists
Lead interface management topics with other cross-functions
Requirements
Educational Requirements: B.E. (Mechanical)
At least 6 years of design experience in Auxiliary systems for Hydro Generator and Turbine with total desired experience of more than 9 years
Basic knowledge in layout & arrangement, mechanical & electrical design, piping design, P&ID diagram, instrumentation, and control
Detailed knowledge of Hydro power plant operation and design standards
Software familiarity: CAD tools - AutoCAD and UG NX, MS Office, PLM (CORELLA)
