The Payment Networks Business Operations team is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Site Reliability Engineering to provide strategic, technical, and people leadership for some of Mastercard’s most critical payment platforms. This leader will define and execute the SRE strategy, strengthening availability, resiliency, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the Site Reliability Engineering strategy across the organization.
Strengthen the availability, resiliency, scalability, performance, and operational readiness of applications and platforms.
Partner closely with Product, Software Engineering, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams.
Advance the adoption of modern SRE and DevOps practices across Payment Networks.
Drive observability, service-level management, automated detection, and remediation.
Oversee incident and problem management, capacity planning, and performance engineering.
Lead production readiness and change governance.
Requirements
Experience in programming or scripting using Python, Go, Java, or Bash.
Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems and network fundamentals.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration.
Experience with CI/CD and software-delivery automation, infrastructure as code, and observability platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related technical discipline.
