Sr. Data Engineers at Visa are responsible for collaborating with stakeholders, including product teams, business partners, and cybersecurity, to identify and clarify requirements for data-driven features and products.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and clarify requirements for data-driven features and products.
Understand the data ecosystem, security, privacy, and retention requirements necessary to support business features.
Create and document technical designs for components, identifying systems, architectures, tools, and storage needs.
Present technical solutions and capabilities to peers.
Stay current with market trends and industry dynamics, applying this knowledge to drive innovation.
Participate in code reviews and mentor peers.
Address client requests requiring technical knowledge.
Requirements
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree.
Expertise with highly distributed, scalable, concurrent and low latency systems working with database technologies like DB2, MS SQL, MySQL or NoSQL.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory.
Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI and Tableau.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding in MSBI Technologies (SSIS, SSAS, SQL Servers).
Knowledge of working in Gen AI technologies and cloud solutions like MS Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
