Barclays is hiring a Controls Assurance AVP to partner with the bank, provide independent insurance on control processes, and advise on improvements to ensure internal controls effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Collaboration across the bank to maintain a satisfactory, robust, and efficient control environment through ad-hoc assessments and testing.
Development of detailed test plans and procedures to identify weaknesses in internal controls and mitigate potential risks.
Communication of key findings and observations to relevant stakeholders and business units to improve control efficiency.
Development of a knowledge centre containing detailed documentation of control assessments and training material.
Requirements
Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present credibly to senior stakeholders.
Working knowledge of operational risk and control processes and practices.
Good understanding of SOx requirements and the COSO framework.
Experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Regulatory reporting or Auditing.
Formal Accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong Excel skills including experience in managing large quantities of data, pivots, formulas, and Vlookup.
Experience with Data Analytics tools and technologies such as Alteryx and Tableau.
