State Street is looking for an Application Software Development Engineer to analyze, design, develop and maintain web-based software in a client/server environment. This is a hands-on senior software engineer position within the State Street Alpha technology solution architecture team.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and develop solutions to client needs following the agile development approach
Maintain and support existing software applications and consult with technical teams and business analysts
Manage your efforts within the agile team to ensure tasks are completed successfully by deadlines
Design and develop reusable components for application UI and backend code
Write database queries and stored procedures while ensuring proper performance tuning
Analyze new requirements with minimal guidance and complete coding and unit testing independently
Anticipate critical issues and risks, taking responsibility for resolution across the organization
Prepare systems documentation as needed
Requirements
5-10 years of experience in development using Java/J2EE
Expert-level knowledge and experience with core java version 8+ and JEE technologies
Experience with React JS, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Spring Framework, Springboot, GIT, MQ/Kafka
Bachelor of Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent degree
Preferred Qualifications
Cloud based development knowledge including Azure or AWS
Experience with Tomcat Server, Veracode and Blackduck issue mitigation
Knowledge of the Financial Market domain
