The Senior Associate Finance supports Amgen’s Operations Finance team through financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, and business partnering. The individual partners with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, manage budgets, and help ensure financial discipline across operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and long-range planning activities for Operations Finance.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and business performance commentary.
Partner with Operations stakeholders to understand cost drivers, risks, opportunities, and business priorities.
Manage expense analysis, cost center reporting, headcount tracking, capital planning, and operational finance support.
Analyze actual results versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, providing clear insights and recommendations.
Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial validation.
Prepare management presentations, business review materials, financial summaries, and ad hoc analyses.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and corporate finance requirements.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, operational performance management, and financial controls.
Proficiency in tools such as SAP, S/4HANA, Hyperion, Anaplan, and Excel.
