Spent some time cleaning up a React component today that had somehow grown to almost 600 lines.

Nothing was technically broken. It just had fetching, filtering, sorting, modal state and three different UI states all living in the same component.

Split it into smaller pieces and suddenly everything became much easier to reason about.

Sometimes the best refactor is just making one file less responsible for everything.
